After completing his medical studies at the University of Cape Town in 2006, Dr. Timakia gained invaluable experience working in trauma surgery at Groote Schuur hospital in 2010. He then worked in the department of neurosurgery at Inkosi Albert Luthuli hospital until he completed his fellowship with the College of Medicine in 2015.
